Member statuses

StatusMeaningWhat staff can do
PendingRegistered, waiting for activation (e.g. KYC not finished).Complete KYC, then activate.
ActiveA normal, transacting member.Open accounts, lend, transact.
InactiveTemporarily not transacting.Reactivate when they return.
DormantNo activity for a long period.Review before allowing withdrawals; reactivate after verifying identity.
ClosedMembership ended.View history only.
DeceasedMember has died.Settle accounts with next of kin / nominees per your policy.

Change status from the member list (you can select several members at once) or from the member’s profile.

Important
Closing or marking a member deceased does not close their loans or savings automatically. Settle or transfer each account first.

Member portal and mobile app

Members can see their loans, savings, shares, wallets and statements, preview loans and apply from their phone. To give a member access:

  1. Open the member and choose Login (portal access).
  2. Enter their email and a username, and optionally a starting password (at least 6 characters).
  3. Share the username with the member and ask them to change the password on first sign-in.
Note
Portal access requires the member portal (CRM) module on your plan. A member only ever sees their own accounts.
