Terms of Use
The terms for using the mfidoc.com website, its documentation and code examples. Effective 1 November 2026.
These terms apply to your use of mfidoc.com (the "site"), run by Zung.AI ("Zung", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you use the Zung platform or its APIs, the API Terms and your institution's agreement with Zung also apply.
1. What the site is
mfidoc is documentation and reference material for building on the Zung core banking platform: API references, guides, integration kits, templates, a glossary, country pages, pricing and a changelog. Reading the site is free and needs no account.
2. Using the documentation and code
- Code examples on the site — curl commands, request and response samples, snippets in guides — may be copied, modified and used in your own software, including commercial software, without attribution.
- Open-source libraries linked from the site are licensed under the licence in each repository (currently MIT). That licence, not these terms, governs their use.
- Everything else — the written documentation, glossary, country pages, design and images — remains ours or our licensors'. You may quote or link to it, and print or save copies for your own use, but not republish it substantially as your own.
3. Accuracy and planned features
We work to keep the documentation accurate and up to date, but it is provided "as is". Features, endpoints, webhooks, SDKs and kits marked Planned or Beta are not generally available and may change or never ship — don't build production systems on them. The changelog records what has shipped.
4. Not professional advice
The glossary, country pages, regulator summaries and kits are general information for microfinance professionals. They are not legal, regulatory, accounting, tax or financial advice. Confirm requirements with your regulator and advisers before relying on them.
5. Pricing, plans and store listings
Prices and plan contents on the site are for information and may change. Your actual subscription is governed by the order and agreement you accept when you sign up. Zung Store listings shown on country pages are offered through the Zung Store; plugins marked Store listing may not be available in every market — confirm availability before you rely on one.
6. Acceptable use
When using the site, don't:
- attack, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the site or any Zung system;
- scrape or copy the site in a way that harms its operation or republishes it as a competing service;
- test the security of Zung systems except as described on our Security page;
- misrepresent your relationship with Zung or imply our endorsement.
7. Third-party services and links
The site links to and embeds third-party services, including GitHub, Vimeo and Google Fonts. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We aren't responsible for third-party content.
8. Trademarks
Zung, zung.ai, mfidoc and related names and logos are our trademarks. Other names belong to their owners. You may refer to Zung by name to describe an integration accurately ("works with Zung"), but not use our logos in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.
9. Disclaimer and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or business, arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the bottom of this page shows when they last changed; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
12. Contact
