Banking API

Offline-safe transactions with client_ref

Branches and field officers on unreliable connections can retry money movements without ever posting them twice.

  • Added

Idempotent repayments: POST /loans/{id}/repayment accepts a client_ref; a retry with the same value returns duplicate: true and posts nothing. Learn more →

  • Added

Idempotent deposits and withdrawals: The same client_ref protection on /savings/{id}/deposit and /savings/{id}/withdraw. Learn more →

  • Improved

Safe when a notification fails: If a transaction posts but a follow-up step fails, the reference is still recorded, so a retry can never double-post.

Core banking

Islamic Finance module

Shariah-compliant financing, profit-sharing deposits and the funds that go with them, available as part of selected plans.

  • Added

Financing products: Murabaha and other financing products with generated schedules, repayment allocation, early settlement and restructuring. Learn more →

  • Added

Profit-sharing deposits: Mudarabah deposit accounts and products, with investment pools and periodic profit distribution by the agreed ratio. Learn more →

  • Added

Charity fund: Late-payment amounts are routed to a charity fund instead of income.

  • Added

Zakat and takaful: Zakat calculation and takaful (Islamic insurance) support.

  • Added

Shariah review: A Shariah screen for review and sign-off, plus dedicated reports and its own chart of accounts.

  • Improved

Plan-gated access: The module is only reachable by institutions whose plan includes it. Learn more →

Platform

Custom domains with automatic SSL

Institutions can serve Zung from their own domain, and the certificate is now requested automatically.

  • Added

Automatic certificates: Once a verified custom domain is connected, an SSL certificate is requested with no manual step.

  • Improved

Clearer failures: If certificate setup can't run, the domain stays connected and the log says exactly what is missing.

Security

Receipts scoped to the right people

Transaction receipts can now only be opened by the institution — and the member — they belong to.

  • Security

Receipt access: Savings, share, fixed deposit and wallet receipts are limited to staff of the owning institution and to the member themselves.

  • Fixed

Member portal loan receipts: Members can open their own loan receipts again; they previously received an access error.

  • Fixed

Broken portal links removed: 17 member-portal routes that led to errors were removed, along with two dead links on the loan page.

  • Improved

Regression tests: Eight automated tests now guard receipt access.

Security

Savings isolation and working bulk imports

Every savings action is now confined to your own institution, and the bulk importers work end to end.

  • Security

Savings isolation: Deposits, withdrawals, interest posting, charges and transaction edits only ever touch your institution's accounts.

  • Security

Import safeguards: Savings and loan imports refuse products, members and officers from other institutions.

  • Fixed

Bulk loan repayments: Bulk repayment uploads work again and record the payment channel correctly.

  • Fixed

Bulk deposits: Balances are recalculated for every product, not only cash-accounting ones.

  • Fixed

Import templates: Client import accepts the .xls template it offers, the CSV template has every required column, and blank savings cells fall back to the product's values.

  • Improved

Regression tests: 13 automated tests now guard imports and savings access.
