WhoAccountants

Products post their own entries automatically. Use manual journal entries for everything else: expenses paid, bank charges, depreciation, provisions, accruals and corrections.

  1. Open Accounting›Journal entries and click Add.
  2. Choose the branch, currency and date.
  3. Add one or more lines: each line has a debit account, a credit account, an amount and notes.
  4. Save. Each line posts an equal debit and credit, so the books always balance.

Reversing

Journals are never deleted. To correct one, reverse it — Zung posts the opposite entry — and post a new correct one.

Transfers

Use Transfers to move money between ledger accounts, for example from the cash account to the bank after a banking run.

Tip
Attach the supporting document number in the notes of every manual journal. Auditors will ask for it.
