Flat Rate Interest

Interest charged on the original loan amount for the whole term, even as the balance falls. Looks cheaper than it is.

Formula

Interest = principal × rate × term

Example

KES 10,000 at 2% flat a month for 6 months costs KES 1,200 in interest.
